The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings and that it is therefore the supreme and final authority in all matters of doctrine, faith, and life and that He preserved His Word through the Hebrew Masoretic Text and the Greek Textus Receptus. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to the original author’s intended meaning as revealed in its grammatical-historical context. (II Timothy 3:16-17II Peter 1:20-21John 14:26John 16:13)

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19II Corinthians 13:14)

We believe that God the Father is Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and is a spirit. (Psalms 139:1-12John 4:24)

We believe that Jesus Christ was God manifest in the flesh and that He ever existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit. In His incarnation, He was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. (John 1:1-314188:5810:30-33Luke 1:30-37)

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, that He convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, that He regenerates the sinner by the Word of God, that He permanently indwells in the church, and the body of each believer, that He seals, enlightens, instructs, and guides every born-again person, and that He is the efficient power for godly living, Christian service, and spiritual worship. (John 16:7-153:5-7I Peter 1:23Ephesians 4:30John 14:16-1726)

The Personality of Satan

We believe that Satan is a personal being, a fallen angel, prince of demons, the god of this age, the enticer and deceiver, the adversary of Christ and His people, the accuser of the brethren, whose end is the Lake of Fire. (II Corinthians 4:3-4I Peter 5:8Matthew 25:41John 8:44Revelation 12:9-1020:3Job 1:6-7)

The Creation and Fall of Man

We believe that God created the world in six literal twenty-four hour days. Man was created by the direct act of God in the image of God. We believe that man sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death (separation from God). All human beings are sinners by nature and choice, are totally depraved in thought, word and deed; and are unable to save themselves. (Romans 3:103:235:12John 3:1-21)

The Death, Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus Christ

We believe that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and a substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. We believe that He arose bodily from the dead on the third day. We also believe that our Lord ascended into Heaven; that He is now seated at the right hand of the Father and is our High Priest and Divine Advocate with the Father. We believe that by His finished work on the Cross, and His unceasing ministry or intercession in glory that Jesus Christ has procured for every believer Eternal Redemption and Everlasting life. (I Corinthians 15:3-4Romans 5:9Mark 16:19John 3:162027Hebrews 5:97:258:19:12I John 2:1)

Salvation

We believe in Salvation by grace through faith; that salvation is the free gift of God, not by any virtue or works of man, but received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9I Peter 1:18-19I Corinthians 15:3-4)

The Church

We believe that the local church is an organized body of born-again believers baptized by immersion, practicing the scriptural ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and actively engaged in fulfilling the Great Commission. (Acts 1:815:14Mark 16:15Romans 1:16Ephesians 5:23-24I Corinthians 12:12-13)

Ordinances

We believe that the two ordinances of the local church are Baptism and The Lord’s Supper. We further believe that water baptism by immersion is observed but once, and is a sign of identification, and a testimony to newness of life, but the Lord’s Supper is commemorative, and is to be observed often as a memorial of the Broken Body and Shed Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:4Colossians 2:9-13I Corinthians 11:23-33)

Spiritual Gifts

We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowment of all His gifts, and that speaking in tongues and the working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed and their authority became established.

Separation and Sanctification

We believe that the Scriptures teach non-conformity to the world for every believer; that born-again people should be separated from the world unto Christ; that it is clearly commanded of God to all believers to live their lives of separation from all worldly and sinful practices and to be holy as He is Holy. We believe that positional sanctification occurs at the moment of regeneration and that the practical sanctification is to be progressive throughout the entire life span of a believer here on earth. God’s provision for holy living is the indwelling person and power of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God and the believer’s yieldedness to Him. (Colossians 1:13Hebrews 10:114Colossians 3:1-4II Corinthians 6:1-14Ephesians 1:155:25-27I Corinthians 6:19-20Galatians 5:16-23John 17:17,Hebrews 4:12)

We take a stand against Neo-Orthodoxy, New Evangelicalism, the ecumenical movement, the charismatic movement and any other movement undermining the fundamentals of the faith.

The Second Coming

We believe in the unrevealed but always imminent pretribulational rapture of all believers and in the premillennial return and millennial reign of the Lord Jesus Christ. We also believe in the judgment of believers at the Judgment Seat of Christ and the judgment of unbelievers at the Great White Throne. (Titus 2:13I Thessalonians 4:13-17John 14:3Revelation 19:11-2120:1-6)

The Eternal State of the Saved and the Lost

We believe that the spirits of the saved at death go immediately to be with Christ in Heaven for eternal blessedness and that at His second coming their works will be judged and rewards determined. We believe that the spirits of the unsaved at death descend immediately into Hell until the final day of judgment, at which time their bodies shall be raised from the grave, reunited with their spirits, judged and cast into the literal lake of fire, the place of final and everlasting punishment. (John 14:1-68:24Psalms 9:1716:11Philippians 1:2123II Thessalonians 1:7-9Revelation 20:10-15)
